Tebow Time

So I'm really over this talk and gossip about Tim Tebow lately and I'm sick of everyone hating on him. Why talk badly about him? Because he doesn't enjoy doing drugs, getting drunk, and using girls for sex? Because he's a Christian and has values and morals? Making fun of someone because they are a Christian and have a devout faith only shows how small of a person you really are, and that's what's wrong with today's society. I really don't mean to offend anyone by this, but I feel the need to defend this incredible man. He worked so hard and diligently to be where he is today and it's sad to hear some of the things that the media has been saying about him. This is only proof of the type of person that he really is and the character that he has. It takes one amazing person to hear people belittling you and your ambitions and not even let it phase you, and this  I believe is what distinguishes a boy from a man.

Confidence is a stain they can't wipe off.

I just have to say that it's so sad that society's standard of beauty causes young girls to dislike their bodies and their overall appearance, in reference to the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. Wishing to be someone else is a waste of the person that you are. Confidence is one of the sexiest accessories that a girl can wear, and I believe that ever girl should always feel confident and gorgeous! If you're going for a guy who makes appearance his number one priority, you're going for the wrong one. A man who truly loves his girl will see beauty and love, more than the eyes can even wander, and doesn't need to unbutton her shirt to get a  better view of her heart. So be happy with your appearance, body, and the person that you are! Most importantly, remember that beauty is not only skin deep-a woman who is truly beautiful has an inner beauty that shines through. :)

“Things always happen when you least expect them to.” I can’t even begin to explain how many friends have told me this repeatedly and yet I consistently failed to listen to them time after time, after time. Ever since I was 16 I’ve been searching for a purpose, a meaning, and most importantly for love. Being the hopeless romantic that I am, the one thing that I’ve always desired the most in life is not a “hot bod” or a Benz, or being popular or “liked“, but to fall hopelessly in love.

As time went on, I gradually came to the consciousness that things really do happen when you least expect them to. You can’t force love or anything in life, for that matter. If something is meant to happen, then it will. I think that everyone should trust their heart and intuition ; they are usually always right.

With that said, words can’t even begin to express how happy I feel. Partly because I am knowledgeable of the fact that I am only shy of a semester before I graduate with my A.A. and begin the next chapter of my life, but primarily because I’m fortunate enough to have an image of the life that I have always desired; I already have the paint and canvas, now all that’s left to do is to not start creating a picture, but a masterpiece.

Love Never Fails

I honestly think that half the people who claim to be in love don't even know the meaning of the word. I don't claim to know what love is, but for me, love is giving someone everything and expecting nothing in return. Caring about that person more than you do yourself;  the first person you think of when you wake up, and the last person before you go to bed. Love isn't envious, rude, or hurtful. When you really love someone you see past all of their flaws and imperfections. I think that love is what makes you give in, and keep fighting to hold on everytime. You see them for who they are, and only grow more in love with them in time. You can't get enough of that person. Absense doesn't make the heart grow fonder, it breaks it. For me, true love lasts a lifetime. Love never fails.

The Works Today!

                                                              Hi my loves!

I’m sorry for being so inconsistent on here but I’ve been so busy lately! :)

With the millions of friends that I have, at times, I feel like none of them just “get it” and I think that’s why I love writing so much. Sometimes I feel like all the words in the world aren’t enough, and today is one of those days. At times, I feel like I try so hard to be where I want to be; I have so much drive and motivation and yet I’m still not there. When I’m feeling down, one thing that always lifts me up is going for a walk down the beach or the bayou. Reminiscing on life, I realize how hard I’ve been working and striving to become successful and although I have my days of doubt, I know that I will get there.
I think that at the end of the day, what makes my day one hundred times better is having someone who is there for me, someone who reminds me how beautiful I am, and that I will be right were I’m meant to be. Being the hopeless romantic that I am, nothing in this world compares to the immense feeling of having someone who stands right beside you.

Welcome to the Good Life

Ever since I was a little girl I have thought of myself as being unique. Growing up in a small town and being a “small town girl,” I have always been one to stand out from the crowd. I believe that my toughest tribulation in life was the lack of confidence that I had in myself during my early teen years. Although I have always been an Honors Student, I never believed in myself, and never came to the realization that I had the ability to accomplish anything. I always just assumed that I was different.

This was by far the best experience I have ever had because yes, I realized that I would never fit in; but only because I was born to stand out. This is the experience that shaped me into the person that I am today, and this I believe is what transformed me from a young girl, to an aspiring woman. The day that I became knowledgeable that no obstacle was too powerful for me to overcome, and proved to me that even on my weakest days; I get a little bit stronger. That I am everything that I never thought I could be and so much more.

I like to think of this experience as a gift, because from this I have developed a heart of gold. I have learned to see the best in every situation that life throws my way and most importantly I have sought the best in everyone. I became one of the most confident women that you will ever meet. The one who gives speeches; and volunteers to go first. To becoming a member of the Student Government Association, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Honors College, becoming a writing tutor at our college campus, and fueling other fellow student's drive to become successful as well . From chasing boys, to chasing nothing but my dreams; and being the girl who “always has” and always will dress up every day. I believe that knowledge is everything, confidence is key, and that motivation and drive is what leads to success. The reason why when people tell me I can’t or that it will never happen, I turn around and say “watch me.”

Loving Life

     Sunsets like this one make me a very happy girl, even more so when you have someone special to enjoy it with. I believe that life is all about living it to the fullest. Sometimes I think we get so caught up in our daily lives that we forget what life is really about; family, friends, and the people that we love. We get so focused on the things that we don't have that we forget to appreciate all that we do. I believe that life is short, too short to regret missing out on  the beauty in life and the people who mean the most to us.

I'm sitting outdoors in Florida sipping an iced latte and it's absolutely beautiful out today! Today, I encourage everyone to do something that they enjoy and find happiness and beauty in life. Life truly is beautiful when you learn to see past obstacles and seek the best in e v e r y o n e. So smile, be happy, make someones day a little bit better! You get all the love you need when you give yours away. Life is what you make of it, so make it worth while! Helloooo everyone and Happy Tuesday! I realized when I woke up this morning that although life throws us alot of curve balls and at times we strike out one too many times; I'm so fortunate and blessed and I love everyone in my life and I'm actually incredibly thankful for lifes ups and downs because it only makes me that much stronger, wiser and better.
